GNME supports electricity projects for Hasira and Mil-Qasim

One can hardly imagine modern life without electric power: it makes our houses light and warm or cold depending on climate conditions, helps in cooking meals and gives opportunity to have leisure etc. Usually people do not think about such simple things like having electricity in their dwellings, however in villages, located quite far from a major urban centers, having access to stable electricity supply seems to be one of the most serious challenges.

In 2018, Gazprom Neft Middle East in cooperation with Directorate of Electricity of Kalar launched a social project on improving electricity lines in villages located close to GNME facilities in Garmian Block. In a frame of the project, were completed works consisting of changing transformers, poles and wire lines in Hasira village. Currently, preparatory actions are ongoing for the same operations in Mil-Qasim village.

Besides, the Company donated 4 generators (3 in 2018 and 1 in 2019) to local communities in order to sustain reserve systems of electricity supply.

On monthly basis, GNME also contributes diesel fuel for public generators to Hasira, Mil-Qasim, Kareza and Kawa Charmo communities to support permanent electricity supply during the power shortage periods (usually several hours per day).
